Antibiotics: use them wisely
Antibiotics kill bacteria or stop them from growing, but they have no effect on viruses, such as those that cause the common cold or flu. Many people actually ask for antibiotics when they have a cold, and some stop taking the tablets as soon as they feel better. Each time antibiotics are used, sensitive bacteria are killed, while bacteria that carry resistance genes may survive and multiply. Eventually, these resistant strains can spread in the community, and infections that were once easy to treat become difficult or even impossible to cure. For this reason, health agencies advise people to use antibiotics only when prescribed and to follow the instructions of the health professional about dose and duration.

As palavras 'actually' e 'eventually' são falsos cognatos frequentes. Qual alternativa traduz corretamente o sentido delas neste texto?
E'actually' = raramente; 'eventually' = imediatamente.
Resposta correta: alternativa C
Each time antibiotics are used...'). As alternativas A e B caem no falso cognato 'actually' = 'atualmente'.
