BEFORE YOU SHARE, STOP AND CHECK
A message is going around saying that drinking hot water every hour protects you from the flu. It looks official, it has a lot of capital letters and it says "Share with everyone you love!". Before you forward it, ask yourself three questions:
1. Who wrote this? Look for a real name, an organization or a link to a reliable source.
2. When was it published? Old stories often come back as if they were new.
3. Does any trusted health website say the same thing?
If you can't answer these questions, don't share. False information travels fast because people want to help their friends. Help them by checking first.
